Wedding Planner Anna of ‘Bride and Glory’
Anna MacDougall is an international and highly experienced wedding planner who started her actual wedding planning company Bride and Glory in 2010. We've had the pleasure of working on Anna's weddings a few times now. So we can safely say that she's absolutely brilliant at her job. Wedding planners are quite varied and we've come across around 50 in our 10 years of Liquid Strings.
We met Anna a few years back, when she called on our services to provide a string trio for a wedding in Chelsea. It was for the reception and in a lovely Italian restaurant. I was immediately impressed by Anna. She managed the (never easy) task of being extremely helpful and friendly with us whilst obviously completely focused also. She was clearly extremely organised. Everything was immaculate and looked amazing. Moreover, there was also a fun and not too formal atmosphere. Some weddings look pristine, but there's something almost clinical about them. Like if you accidentally move a napkin a couple of inches to the right, you might get kicked out! I'm exaggerating obviously, but the basic point is true.
With Anna and Bride and Glory, everything looked fabulous and there was a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I'm sure the couple will have helped with this, and their guests. But I'm quite certain it has much to do with Anna. She's in charge but she's not bossy or so serious that it scares anyone!
I personally got married in Croatia on an island. We had to use the local wedding planner there, for various reasons. Had it been in the UK, I would have wanted Anna to help sort out the wedding. There's so much to think about and you only fully realise this when you start trying to organise it yourself. Anna will take the stress out and allow you to enjoy every moment without anxiety. Since the day is only one day, this is hugely important. After all, you can't go back and do it again having realised you should have done it differently. It's too late then.
Therefore yes you will pay for a great wedding planner (although Anna's excellent service means that you can have full or partial). However you will save a lot of stress. And so optimise the chances of having the best day of your life! This adds huge value to the day.
We're excited to be providing a string quartet and jazz band for an upcoming Bride and Glory wedding in December. It's at the beautiful Fetcham Park where Anna is the wedding co ordinator. It will be fabulous, because her weddings always are!
