London Wedding String Trio
“We just wanted to say how fantastic the string trio were on Saturday – they created a lovely ambiance and we could have listened to them all night! Please pass on our thanks to the musicians.” (Carmen and Rasheed, Wedding at the Savile Club, Mayfair, London)
A professional string trio is a sleeker version of the string quartet. The violin and cello will cover the tune and bass with the third instrument (either another violin or a viola) providing a lovely extra texture to the music and making it sound complete. Having a string trio in your event will enhance the entertainment by creating a delightful ambiance and soundtrack to proceedings. It looks and sounds both elegant and classy. The varied music that can be played by one of our string trios – classical, pop and jazz, will add sophistication and fun to your event in equal measures.View Repertoire
Having a string trio play at your wedding makes for a wonderful live music experience, elevating the excitement of such a special and unique day. Everyone loves the extra touch of music played live, and stringed instruments, being acoustic, really enhance the ‘live’ sound in a way that amplified instruments cannot always do. At the start of the wedding, it makes a perfect ice breaker as well as completely fitting the formal start to the day. The Liquid Strings trios are highly trained professional musicians who can provide a great live soundtrack to your event and bring a sophisticated touch to any occasion. They combine busy programmes of performance, orchestral and chamber concerts and provide musical entertainment for weddings, as well as corporate events and private parties. They have been playing in wedding string trios over several years and are always able to make the most of the three instruments. That’s either two violins and a cello, or violin, viola and cello. Both combinations work equally well.
There are a number of string trio wedding songs that sound great for the occasion – from Mendelssohn’s Wedding March to Coldplay. Whether traditional or modern, there’s a good choice of trio music to suit all kinds of weddings. Feel free to ask us for suggestions, or let us know what you have in mind.
We’ve provided string trios for numerous parties in London, Surrey, Kent and other surrounding areas. In a smaller party, a string trio can be a bit more intimate than a quartet and will create a fun and lively atmosphere with a variety of classical, jazz and pop songs. Whether the party is in your home or a private venue that you’ve hired, the live strings will be highly effective in bringing the event to life and making your guests feel at ease and more celebratory. Some of our clients have said that it was the live string trio that made the party complete and brought all the different aspects of the event together.
Live string trio music played by professional musicians of an extremely high standard will be the best possible start to the party. We recommend around 2 – 3 hours of the strings. After that, you may be having a DJ or a band or playing your own playlist. However, to really energise and entertain your guests, hire a string trio from us. Guests love to recognise famous tunes played in an unfamiliar format and that’s what we specialise in.
Having a string trio as corporate entertainment (for example background music in a drinks reception) is a sophisticated option and works superbly in certain venues and types of event. Formal networking events, for example, will benefit from a live string trio.
We’ve covered corporate events in venues such as City Hall, Chandos House and The Mayfair Hotel in London. This was usually because the number of guests made a smaller group of musicians more viable and so we suggested a string trio in these cases.
“We were very lucky to have such a lovely summer evening so that we could appreciate the venue fully but it would not have been so welcoming without your musical accompaniment. It was a very successful evening and I wish to thank you and your colleagues for your invaluable input.” (Jane Hearsum, Charity Event for the Hearsum Collection, City Hall, London)
“The music was beautiful yesterday. Thank you so much!” (Alex Richardson, Wedding in Pembroke Lodge, Richmond, West London)
“We have had lots of positive feedback and compliments from colleagues which I wanted to pass on to you. Thank you for helping us make our event a great success! I will keep in touch for any future parties and events!” (Alex Facey, Staff Awards Ceremony at The Langham, London)

Liquid Strings trio was an excellent addition to our reception at the London Transport Museum. I received so many compliments on the selection of music for the evening as well. The director, Brian, was a delight to work with for scheduling and kept in touch up to the day of the event.Rachel Tagge, US Embassy, London
Right from the beginning Brian was so helpful, listening to what songs and music we liked and playing our requested songs during our ceremony. He was keen to make us feel as at ease as possible and answered lots of questions! I am so glad that we chose Liquid Strings to perform at our wedding and our guests loved them!Rachel and Nick, wedding in Pembroke Lodge
