Church Hymns for Organ in Religious Ceremonies

Abide with me
All creatures of our God and King
All my hope in God is founded
All things bright and beautiful
Amazing Grace
And can it be (Amazing love)
Be still for the presence
Be thou my vision
Bind us together
Come down, O Love divine
Dear Lord and Father of mankind
Give me joy in my heart
Great is Thy faithfulness
Guide me, O thou great Redeemer
Hail Redeemer, King devine
How great thou art
I vow to thee my country
In Christ alone
Jerusalem
Joyful, joyful we adore Thee
Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
Let all the world in every corner sing
Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy
Lord of the dance
Love divine, all loves excelling
Make me a channel of your peace
Morning has broken
One more step along the world I go
Praise my soul, the King of heaven
Shine, Jesus shine
Tell out my soul
The King of love my shepherd is
The Lord’s my shepherd
To God be the glory

Wedding Piano Player

A wedding piano player brings a tone of sophistication to a special day. Petra is a classically trained piano player, with a wide experience. As a wedding piano player she enjoys a musical life of great variety. She’s played live on BBC Radio 3, and recorded the soundtrack for BBC’s Wolf Hall (Debbie Wiseman) and the ITV period drama series ‘Victoria’. Petra has played for the UK’s leading ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players and the National Symphony Orchestra.

She plays in church and civil weddings on a regular basis as a wedding piano player and also and has a strong repertoire of classical and jazz music. For many years, she’s played as a cocktail pianist in hotels such as Hilton Waldorf and Grosvenor House Hotel. With her own electric piano if your venue doesn’t have a piano, Petra is fully self-contained.

Classic and contemporary pop songs can be played as well as light jazz and of course classical. This works well in weddings, where you can start with more formal light classical music, and then move on to lighter, more ‘pop’ music for the drinks reception. With an absolute love of what she does and a love of music in general, Petra is also a keen Lindy hop dancer! Contact us today to book Petra for your event.

Testimonials

We had a string quartet for our wedding and we were absolutely blown away with how absolutely amazing they were! Our guests commented on how fantastic the music was and it really made the ceremony and drinks reception so incredibly special. We were all so impressed with their repertoire, performing a mixture of classical pieces to current chart music which they thought was a lovely twist. Thank you again so much.

Bianca and Charles, wedding in Swan at the Globe, London

‘May I just repeat our gratitude for the very important role you played in our wedding, and for bending over backwards to accommodate my vision. The original and fun atmosphere simply could not have been achieved without your involvement!  Everyone was just brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others, and I’d happily call on you again for other occasions.’

Katrina and Adam, wedding in Burgh House, Hampstead.

As I am sure most couples say, it was the best day ever and part of that was having Liquid Strings play at our ceremony and reception. I cannot tell you how much I loved hearing Sigor Ros as I came in, and leaving with Elbow was just perfect. Many of our guests have said how fabulous Liquid Strings were and it really did add something special to our day.

Stuart and Laura Coles, wedding in Orleans House Gallery

Nancy and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your fellow musicians for playing at our wedding last month. We both thought you were fantastic and perfect for what we wanted. Please also pass on our thanks to Dave the DJ who was also absolutely spot on and had everyone up and dancing! We will certainly recommend you to others!

I just want to pass on my thanks to your musicians for making our wedding day extra special. The harp was fantastic and all the guests commented on how her music fitted the venue and mood. I would also like to pass on a special thank you to Scarlett and her band who did a great job in the evening and also the DJ.
