Solo Harpist

Hollie started studying the harp at the age of 8 under the tuition of Iona Evans.

In 1997 she gained a place at the Royal Northern College of Music Junior Department where she studied piano, organ and harp.  While studying at the RNCM Junior Department Hollie played for the Duke of Westminster at his private Chapel in aid of Cancer Research.

Hollie has been performing as a London harpist for special events and corporate occasions from a young age. She has regularly performed for royalty. She also had the honour of being asked to play at the 125th Anniversary Dinner to celebrate winners of the Victoria Cross and George Cross. She has played extensively in venues such as Kensington Palace, St James’ Palace  and for the Royal Horticultural Society at Hampton Court Palace gardens. Testimonials

‘May I just repeat our gratitude for the very important role you played in our wedding, and for bending over backwards to accommodate my vision. The original and fun atmosphere simply could not have been achieved without your involvement!  Everyone was just brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others, and I’d happily call on you again for other occasions.’

Katrina and Adam, wedding in Burgh House, Hampstead.

I just want to pass on my thanks to your musicians for making our wedding day extra special. The harp was fantastic and all the guests commented on how her music fitted the venue and mood. I would also like to pass on a special thank you to Scarlett and her band who did a great job in the evening and also the DJ.

Paula and Adrian, wedding in Hampton Court Palace

Nancy and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your fellow musicians for playing at our wedding last month. We both thought you were fantastic and perfect for what we wanted. Please also pass on our thanks to Dave the DJ who was also absolutely spot on and had everyone up and dancing! We will certainly recommend you to others!

Ben and Nancy, wedding in Pembroke Lodge – won ‘Surrey Wedding of the Year.’

We had a string quartet for our wedding and we were absolutely blown away with how absolutely amazing they were! Our guests commented on how fantastic the music was and it really made the ceremony and drinks reception so incredibly special. We were all so impressed with their repertoire, performing a mixture of classical pieces to current chart music which they thought was a lovely twist. Thank you again so much.

Bianca and Charles, wedding in Swan at the Globe, London

As I am sure most couples say, it was the best day ever and part of that was having Liquid Strings play at our ceremony and reception. I cannot tell you how much I loved hearing Sigor Ros as I came in, and leaving with Elbow was just perfect. Many of our guests have said how fabulous Liquid Strings were and it really did add something special to our day.
