London Jazz Band

London Jazz Band

Our jazz band can play a mix of standards, swing and other fun tunes like ‘Bare Necessities’ to really bring your event to life. Superb jazz musicians, they provide a lovely mix of female vocals, guitar, bass, sax and drums. Additional instruments like keyboards, trumpet and more can be added if required. By contrast, the band can be pared down to just an elegant trio with voice, keyboard (or guitar) and bass.

Jazz music can add a cool atmosphere in may different types of event. Most venues are well suited to this kind of music also. Venues such as Claridges and The Savoy with their Art Deco stylings really suit a swing band. Whilst a perfect nod to the past, we still remain modern and play more recent tunes. Although if you’re having a themed event, like a 1930s Gatsby party, then we can just play good old-fashioned jazz swing from that era. Either way, there is a stylishness to this kind of musical addition to an event. Our jazz can work really well in smaller venues, like private members’ club. The video here is filmed in the Savile Club, which is a beautiful wedding and party venue in Mayfair.

For weddings, we’re also happy to look at particular requests, like for the first dance. Or a favourite song that you’d like to hear in the reception. The repertoire of our groups is wide with the songbook classics, like Sinatra, Gershwin and Cole Porter. And our fine jazz musicians pride themselves in playing other tunes outside the standards. However, we don’t play any obscure modern jazz, unless requested!

A lively jazz band can provide great entertainment for weddings, corporate events and private parties. If you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual pop covers band, we can create a classy alternative. Contact us today to book us for your event.

‘Just to say that the jazz band were really great on Saturday night and I’m not just talking about their wonderful playing. They were absolutely the right combination and mood for our party.  A lot of our guests commented on them and asked me where I’d found them!’

‘Thanks Brian – the evening was a great success – and the band were hugely enjoyed.  I have also received very positive feedback about them since the evening – so many thanks indeed.’
