String Quartet in Kimpton Fitzroy
Kimpton Fitzroy is a beautiful luxury hotel in the King's Cross area of London. We've provided string trios and string quartets for weddings there. The modern surroundings are perfect for contemporary weddings with a 'classic' twist. The string trios or quartets in Kimpton Fitzroy playing 'Bridgerton' soundtracks songs add a fabulous element. We were playing pop songs for strings long before the popular Netflix series, but are delighted that it's become more of a 'thing' these days. So many of our clients now inquire with the words 'We're looking for a Bridgerton string quartet for our wedding'. We're more than happy to oblige.
The Ceremony is often in the spectacular Grade II listed Ballroom. There is lots of space and we sit near the front on the side, although there are serveral places that we can position ourselves. It's good to consult with the photographer where best to place us. Being too close to the action at the front is not a good idea. The main reason being that the photos should only be of you and some group ones during the Signing of the Register. The music is very much live and sounds perfect. This is the case if we're at the side of the room or the back of the room. But we definitely want to give the photographer and possibly videographer the maximum space!
Once the ceremony is over, everyone can move to the adjoining Palm Court. With its outdoor terrace and indoor winter garden, this is an amazing space for the drinks reception. The photo here of our string trio in the Palm Court of Kimpton Fitzroy shows the excellent 'stage' that we can play on. This wedding was in September and most of the guests were inside and not on the terrace. The live strings can still be heard and we got lots of nice comments after we finished playing from many guests.
The atmosphere of the live string quartet or string trio is the cherry on the top of a perfect wedding. In our opinion, if you're going to go all out on your wedding and book such an amazing venue, there's no good reason not to spend a bit extra on live music. As everyone knows it makes an atmosphere that no amount of playlists through speakers can do.
