Luxury Property Event in Pimlico

Live music can really enhance a luxury property event. We were contacted by Building Relations, a niche PR and Communications agency that specialises in the world of property. They were working with Barratt Homes for an event in 26 Chapter Street in Pimlico.
Chapter Street is a stunning new development containing 31 apartments, hidden behind an elegant front. The event required live music with around 30/40 guests in a fairly enclosed and personal apartment. Asking what kind of music is always important and our client was interested in something jazzy. In a smaller space, either jazz duo or jazz trio could potentially work. I did mention string quartets and string trios as further options, but was aware that the space might be too small for this. However, it's good for clients to have a few options as it can help decide the most appropriate act.

Building Relations came back to us a couple of days later to secure a jazz duo or sax and guitar. As Tom was available and plays sax and clarinet, we asked him if he could bring both.  The booking was for 3x45 minute sets over 3 hours so variety of sound is more relevant. These small details are important and as musicians we are able to think of them immediately. With the variety of switching from sax to clarinet with guitar, it's these little things that can make the event more of a win. As musicians, these are the things that we like to think about. It gives great satisfaction when our clients then appreciate the way the live music lifts any event up.

On the day, our main agent was able to attend at the beginning to help make sure everything was in place. Upon arriving, the band were positioned in the best place which we briefly discussed. The proximity to a socket is ideal when using a small amp. This saves the slight eyesore of extension cables on the floor in such a pristine space. The small amp boosts the classy sound of the jazz guitar. And allows the sax and clarinet to soar over the top withou overcoming the sound of the guitar. In other words, a perfect balance of the instruments can be achieved.

With the event starting in earnest at 4pm, Julian and Tom began a warm up play of a Bossa nova tune. There was champagne, some artisan bread and cheese on the main table in the apartment and all looked beautiful and inviting. For any guests to walk in and hear elegant live music and be greeted with a glass of champagne, this is a great start to any event. First impressions are crucial.  It's great that there are plenty of companies who still recognise the power and important of live music. Yes of course we're a bit biased, but we've been inundated with positive comments on so many occasions. A playlist through a speaker may be enough for some events. However, if you want to impress and enhance your event, then it's well worth going the extra mile.

Whether it's a luxury property event or simple house party, get in touch now to discuss how live music can bring your event up to the next level.
