Christmas Party Music 2020

This year Christmas will be different from most, with 2020 being the year dominated by the virus. Hopefully family and friends will seem more precious than ever at this time of year. Whilst we don't know how many parties will be allowed to happen yet at the time of writing this in early September, we do know that we have a lot of great Christmas party music to offer. It's the time of year when we get the most bookings for Christmas jazz music, gospel singers, carol singers and some string quartets playing a mix of music with carols and fun Xmas tunes.

Christmas parties should be fun and happy occasions. Maybe this year more than ever, we should celebrate having got through a very difficult year. And since we've not been able to spend as much time with loved ones as we'd have liked, then if the chance is there to come together in person, not on Zoom or Facetime, then how great a celebration that should be! With live music, social distancing is really easy. Whether acoustic or amplified, musicians can be at the edge of a room and the sound will carry nicely. It's perfect background music and creates a real atmosphere where music through a speaker doesn't. Even a DJ playing the room and responding to the mood is far more 'live' than just playing recorded music.

Well we are biased of course, as event musicians, but we also know from the feedback that we constantly get. There's nothing quite like live Christmas party music for bringing a party to life. Not only is the music enjoyed in the background, it brings more energy to the occasion.  We've also heard that guests and attendees have said afterwards that they were more relaxed, chatted more freely and had more fun. All of this is a kind of music to our ears.

What kind of music depends on what atmosphere you wish to create. For a small family and friends gathering, some professional singers doing carols and Xmas tunes can be a perfect fit. For a corporate Christmas party, a jazz trio followed by a DJ can get everyone up and dancing. There are also more pared down options, like a solo guitarist or string duo of violin and cello. Or a large, full gospel choir to go all out entertain.

Classical Wedding Music

Classical Wedding Music

These days we get more requests for pop music than classical. But having live musicians in your wedding that play classical and popular music has some obvious advantages.

Booking Live Music for a Destination Wedding

When booking live entertainment and music for a destination wedding, it's not always possible to go with local suppliers, unless your planner has the right network. If you're planning a luxury wedding, like the wedding featured in the photos here that we provided a drummer DJ, sax player and soul singer for.
