Liquid Strings medieval players specialise in music from the Medieval,
Renaissance and Baroque periods on authentic instruments. They regularly
play with the following ensembles: The New London Consort, Musicians
of the Globe, The Sixteen, Ex Cathedra and in the early music festivals
throughout Britain, Europe and Japan, as well as playing at the Shakespeare’s
Globe Theatre in London.
The Liquid Strings Medieval Players offer a great variety of combinations,
including:
• Guitar or Lute with recorders, flute and medieval fiddles
• Theorbo (larger lute) with violin
• Up to 6 players for the standard broken consort music of the
Elizabethan times.

The repertoire is vast comprising of instrumental ballads, airs and
dances from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque times. It also includes:
• Medieval repertoire on gitterns, oud, fiddles, flutes, hurdy
gurdy and percussion.
• Renaissance repertoire on lutes, cittern, recorders and flutes.
• Baroque repertoire on theorbo, guitar, recorders and flutes
• Medieval/modern crossover with live looping and effects (listen
