Fanfare by Baroque Trumpet Trio [287 KB]
Fanfare by Tippett [152 KB]
The Baroque Trumpet Trio was established in 2002 by three students of Trinity College of Music, London. The aim was to explore a genre of Brass ensemble which is rarely heard or seen. The original trio, all former members of the National Youth Wind Orchestra performed together for a number of years. Since its formation the Trio has evolved with new members and works now with a varied group of London's freelance players.
The Trio have performed in many concerts and venues throughout the UK
and abroad. In 2004 they performed live from the Old Royal Naval College,
Greenwich on BBC Radio 3 and in 2005 the Trio was part of an international
music festival in Rome, culminating in a live radio broadcast from La
Palazzo del Quirinale (the Italian president's palace). The Trio were
awarded the Philip Jones Prize for Brass Ensemble in 2005, and have recorded
a CD of modern and traditional brass ensemble music. The Trio are all
competent arrangers and are committed to broadening the range of music
available for Trumpet Trio.
The Trio's library is already extensive, covering all styles of music, Classical, Jazz and Musicals. The Baroque Trumpet Trio is looking forward to future concerts, events and Festivals. Its members are busy freelance trumpeters and teachers.
