Deborah is a talented piano vocalist living and working in London. She currently performs as a pianist and vocalist in venues across London. In the last two years she has held residencies at Bush Hall (the prestigious live music venue in Shepherds Bush) The Ebury, an intimate stylish restaurant in Slone Square, and The Montague on the Gardens, a Bloomsbury Hotel.
At
the beginning of 2007 Deborah was the resident pianist in the famous
'Mood Indigo' Jazz bar, located in the Novotel Centre, in Abu Dhabi
- U.A.E. Here she performed 6 nights per week - to a mixed and varied
crowd. Deborah is a very versatile performer and can cater for every
occasion. Her set list (which can be up or down tempo depending on occasion)
includes Jazz, Pop, Latin and Contemporary music, or your favourite
pop, rock, soul and funk numbers – instrumental or with vocals.
Deborah is available for hire for any occasion and has her own equipment and transport. As well as performing regularly Deborah also lectures at Morely College and also works as a freelance teacher, writer and piano vocalist. Originally from the North East Deborah was initially a classically trained pianist. At 16 she moved to Newcastle to study Jazz and Contemporary music, which she continued to degree level. During her time at college she began performing in various bands, to include a 7 piece function band 'Rio', and with a Jazz trio 'Sol'.
