The Liquid Strings Cello and Dance show is an exciting and sensual fusion of classical, hip-hop, bollywood and dance music by two stunning young artists, both of whom are highly successful professionals in their own areas of the performing arts. In this act, Elizabeth’s solo electric cello performance is enriched by dynamic backing tracks and vocals, accompanied by Penelope’s hypnotic and entrancing dance show. The show is professionally choreographed and the whole effect is a unique visual experience which will keep the audience spellbound.
A typical repertoire includes uniquely choreographed, pop versions of all-time classics such as Adagio for Strings by Barber, Toccata and Fugue by Bach, Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire, and Viva La Vida by Coldplay (listen to sound clip below)

We always tailor the show to the client’s needs, so we will discuss the detailed format with you beforehand. Whether you are looking for a stunning music and dance stage spectacular with no audience participation, Penelope dancing within the audience area, or maybe there’s someone you’d like the girls to invite you to dance with them on stage. Whatever the case, LS Cello and Dance Show is a bespoke act.
A popular format for the show is to begin with up to one hour of elegant classical cello music as background to a drinks reception or during dinner. This is followed by a dramatic change in both costume and tempo which immediately gets the audience’s attention and the main, high energy performance begins. The length of the main show is agreed in advance with the client but is typically 20-30 minutes.
If you have limited space at your event, Elizabeth also performs this show as a soloist or as a string duo with a beautiful electric violinist, with the same full backing tracks. In addition, Elizabeth is available for up to 2 hours of classical and light popular background music for receptions and dinners, without the follow-on main show.
Elisabeth:
Elizabeth won a scholarship to study cello performance for 6 years at Yehudi Menuhin’s music school, followed by 5 years at the RNCM and the Royal Academy of Music. She is in great demand throughout Europe and the Middle East. Her 3-girl band was selected by Take That to be the opening act in part of their 2007 Tour, in which she performed her own composition to audiences of 15,000. She has appeared many times on TV with Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Westlife, Il Divo, Kasabian and Paul Potts and has recorded with James Blunt, Peter Kay, Judie Tzuke, Massive Attack, Emma Deigman, and Camilla Kerslake amongst others, as well as for the Britannia High TV series and the Take That video.
Penelope:
After graduating from the prestigious Bird College of Music and Dance, Penelope won the Gillian Lynn scholarship to study with the neo-classical company Scapino Ballet of the Netherlands. Her theatre credits include: Spirit of Broadway, Dancing Queen and Spirit of Christmas for Spirit Productions in the USA, Germany and Brazil, Dance Captain for Caesar International Spain. As a member of the UK’s leading alternative dance company, Inko Dancers, she has performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Glastonbury Festival and many more venues. Film and TV appearances include Madonna’s Filth and Wisdom, Wade Robson Project MTV Europe, DFS Commercial UK, Gold Rush, Richard and Judy, and MTV UK.
Elizabeth and Penelope are based in London, but travel all over the world to perform.
