Liquid Strings Brazilian Samba is an authentic 7-piece dance band suited in particular to large events with dance floors. The group performs traditional Brazilian samba music (listen to clip above) and, with the visual impact of Brazilian instruments, matching costumes and participatory performance, it is an ideal centrepiece for creating themed events.
The band is led by Leandra, who is from São Paulo, Brazil. Possessing a captivating voice full of warmth, vitality and Brazilian soul, she sings a repertoire encompassing classics of Bossa Nova and also sambas - old and new.
The band is the UK's premier Brazilian samba band. They will provide you with a thrilling night of Latin rhythm, dance and song. Based on the music found in Rio de Janiero's Lapa district, Liquid Strings Samba Band bring together the best elements of Samba - irresistibly pulsating percussion grooves, sensuous harmonies and unmistakable guitar, horns and cavaquinho - all evoking long, hot Rio nights.
To complement the evening, we can also provide a Brazilian-themed DJ, themed DVDs for projection and smaller reception music ensembles suitable for warming up the evening. These are played by members of the full band.
